Armor Study of the MarkIV-type armor used in Halo Wars using reference material from [link]

Over the course of time I've had many people ask me, "How did you ever learn how to draw armor so well?" and always my answer has been "Practice...loads and loads of practice!".
Really, there's no way to get around it, especially when it comes to intricacy of armor and mecha. Practice makes perfect. Period.
And how do I 'practice'?
ARMOR STUDY.
Just for the fraggin' heck of it I torture myself by drawing endless amounts of armor in different types of positions on different kinds of bodies in many types of styles until I can't feel my friggin hands anymore!! :dead:

This is one such study, a full-suit drawing I did of the Mark IV armor in Halo Wars...for no reason except 'practice'.

So enjoy the fruits of my labor while I go soak my hands in a bowl of ice-water and pop a couple Tylenol to tide me over 'till the next time I torture myself in the name of ART.

Oo-rah!

Thanx muchness. :D I try to keep things as authentic as possible when recreating something that already exists, as well as provide some info that goes with it.

Armor studies like this are how I got so good at it.
